Reviews
Here is my review page of various gaming products.
My first review will be of the War-Zone terrain.
I have found the most of the terrain is perfect for Mage Knight. The exception to this being the 01 Scaled terrain and the barbed wire trench. I have found that the "9 Steps of the Seer" (cost $40) is a perfect piece to display a Magus, Necromancer, Mystic Draconum, Magus Draconum, or a Chaos Mage on. The "Warlock Isle" (cost $50) is also a good piece to use to display figures, this one can hold multiple figures. (The only down side to these two pieces are that they aren't tournament legal, and we have to wait for the new terrain rules on elevated terrain comes out from Wiz Kids). The Warboards are the perfect thing for a player who travels. Item GTS1150 is the 3'x3; model that comes in the Mage Pac.
The Mage Pac is a good $80 investment for any player. It contains the Warboard, Jr. hill pack, lake and river set, 7-8 trees, 3 hedges, tall rocks and ridges set, and the trench set. The Master Pacs (cost from $70 to $180 for players, $317.50 or $397.50 for retailers) are a great addition to the Mage Pac. The Master Pacs contain various terrain pieces. The only bad feature is that these packs are only available online at the site.
For those who are unsure on the quality of the terrain pieces War-Zone has a sample pack of four small hills for free (all you pay is the $5 shipping cost) The sample pack contains one of each terrain scape and one hill of scales 01-04 (for example the terran scape may be the 01 scale, the icelands 02, bloodstone 03, and badlands 04, please do not quote me on this being the correct scale to scape order I do not have my sample pack in front of me to tell you what the correct scale to scape order is). Over all I would recommend War-Zone terrain to all Mage Knight Players who are looking for some nice terrain pieces either for play or to display your figures with.
For those of you building your own terrain I would suggest using the Woodland Scenics line of terrain material. For hills and other structures I recommend DOW Blueboard.
